Talking about mental health helps decrease the stigma around the topic, and improves our communities by helping more people seek help and learn to cope. Mental health is about maintaining a positive state of wellbeing, leading to a healthy mind, which is important for all aspects of your life, including your career.

Why Mental Health Matters - Especially When It Involves Your Career

In the last decade, talking about mental health has started to become normalized, especially in the workplace. When you are in a good state of mind mentally, it helps you have a better outlook on life, and that applies to you in the workplace as well.

It is important to understand the career and employment topics that can affect your mental health.

Some recurring topics we’ve heard over the last few years include the economy, recession, and big changes in the job market. There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to these topics. This can cause panic and worry, which can have long term effects on your mental health.

Additionally, if you are battling other challenges in your life, this can cause even more stress and worry. It is important to remember that it is normal to feel this way.

But it is also important to find help, which is why we have assembled a variety of resources for finding free and low cost mental health support that can help you take care of your well-being.
